Safety Netting
Introduction
We design and install safety netting systems to buildings and tall structures so as to provide the necessary protection to pedestrian or traffic access below.
We offer a range of options to suit all different types of structures, ranging from pest control nets to more substantial stainless steel nets. Netting can be installed by means of rope access, allowing us to reach any height or location safely and often proving more cost effective than traditional methods.
With our netting design and installation service, Rainey Restoration Ltd can offer cost effective measures to make structures safe from falling masonry and other structural risks.
Previous Work
Irish Cement, Drogheda
When working inside the silos, it is paramount that men are protected from cast slabs overhead. We install stainless steel nets that will take a shock load of up to 350kg dropped from a height of 1 metre. This system affords full protection for the workers below. (See Picture 1 – Irish Cement, Drogheda)
Pearl Assurance Building, Belfast
A piece of masonry had fallen from a height on to the pavement below, and funding was unavailable for a full restoration project. As a temporary measure, we designed and installed a netting system to ensure the safety of the pedestrians below. (See Picture 2 – Pearl Assurance Building)
The MAC Theatre, Belfast
The Mac Theatre had a temporary scaffold erected, but was plagued with pigeons. We designed and installed a netting system to keep the pigeons out of the scaffolded area. (See Picture 2 – Causeway NRC)
